Thumbs down Help! Car keeps stalling! MAF?

My 2004.5 Z keeps stalling! I have a custom cold air intake (looks just like the JWTpopcharger). The car stalled a total of 5 times in the past 2 months. It won't restart until I unplug the MAF sensor and plug it back in. It then starts again but idles very roughly and within a couple of minutes will stall. Did my CAI break the MAF? Can I try and clean it or something? THANKS

My Maxima had a bad MAF sensor on it. It would do the same thing you are describing...mine was under waranty so it was no big deal. I priced the MAF and it seemed to be around $200 if I remember right...that was for the Maxima though, not sure if it's the same on the Z or not.

Yeah did some searching and I'll give that a try. Are these MAF's easy to break from a CAI? Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,

The MAFs are sensitive, yes. But they don't just up and break because of an intake. They just toss bad codes if there is a problem. Sounds like yours is malfunctioning.

Is your intake oiled up correctly?
