What does your AF curve look like with the Crawford?

Considering I am using the stock SS box that comes with the Vortech it looks like a mountain range.

and as I am sure everyone knows SungNamZ's dyno is the one that Kinetix uses for there numbers# You know the dyno graph of the non tuned vs tuned with a 3 month gap between dyno's.......

Same Dyno, but different tuner. Ryan felt there were RWHP/Torque numbers that were not attained on 2/24/2005. Twenty Eight (28) pulls later "Red" plot was attained. The ECU has been "Flashed" by TS. But even if you drop back to 6500 rpm, numbers (i.e RWHP, Torque and AF) are respectable.

Haven't looked at a Kinetix add in SportZ Magazine in 6 months. However, I don't think they are showing my current numbers. I believe lsdunique was up against a deadline with SportZ Magazine and SSV IM production and took some of my very first numbers to include my SSV pics and went to print.

It was tuned, but Ryan assuming I was willing, wanted to put my car back up on the dyno and while keeping it safe, learn the Split Second R4 program and squeeze some more numbers out of the Vortech SC and Kinetix SSV.

I am using the "stock SS box". Look at my A/F line. It is flat. Find someone that knows the R4 program and assuming you as well as he is willing to take the time to adjust each cell and get the peaks out your "mountain range", your numbers should improve.

triji, so as I am understanding, your graph you just posted is with the Crawford, with a higher octance gas. You are going back in with the SSV, using the same high octane gas, and a re-tune correct? If so, I would be very interested to see your numbers.

Do you have an A/F graph of the crawford run? It sounds like you had the SSV already dyno'd, do you have that A/F curve as well?

Like I said earlier, I wish the SSV was just a simple bolt-on modification, but unfortunately it has proven to need some tinkering in F/I.

This is correct... The Dyno I posted is with the Crawford and 98 octane...

I got the SSV tuned once with 91 octane (101 is frickn 6.00 a gallon here)

I am putting in 98 again tomorrow before the tune...

I am TUNING the SSV again Tomorrow for 98 octane the same as the Crawford at the same time of day on the same dyno... with the same Tuner, Rich at DynoComp... One of the best in the biz...

I do have the AF Graphs and they are very simillar actually. I dont have them to post atm tho...

I will post the results when I get them in...

Triji - Despite having the SS Box, peaks in your AF should be able to be removed by attacking each cell individually. Then loading that adjustment into the ECU, performing another dyno pull and evaluating the results. Besides patience, it might take numerous dyno pulls, making small adjustments to each cell, evaluating those adjustment and tweaking that cell before moving onto the next cell and/or peak. Good luck! Along with lsdunique, anxious to see the results.

Thanks Sung, I'll see what they can do with that AF... For this test though.. I should keep that line similar to the Crawford's to be fair...

Keep "that line similar", but after you have the numbers see what can been done by your tuner to remove ALL peaks and get a flat line. Then in fairness to everyone, show what a GOOD tune will do.

lsdunique will be the first to tell you that a lot of things change with the SSV vs spacers or other plenums to include their V4/V5+.

Receipt of my SSV is delayed bc the seller can not locate bolts to use for his stock manifolds. If anyone knows what sizes he needs and if they can be found at a local hardware store, it might expedite my experiment...

i don't know why FI people still wanna try the SSV, it's been shown to not gain power and in some cases lose it.

i would like to see where it was shown to not gain power and even lose power.... my trap speeds on my street went up 4mph verses the v+

my street is 1/2 mile long in the straight (2 mile long country road) and the best i could get on the factory intake was 119 before braking. with the v+ was 128 before braking and with the ssv 132 before braking

this is n/a with no spray....

show me proof that it loses power or does nothing...as i have all the proof i need that it does make great gains.

dynos can be made to show anything one way or the other...but trap speeds dont lie
