Personally, as far as the SSV is concerned, we really lack for a perfect comparision, and I think the people who started this thread are after a solution. I too have heard a lot of second and third and forth hand repeated info on the SSV but very few "facts." Just the same stuff repeated and repeated. So I am really happy someone is going to do a heads up test. Until this Crawford vs Kinetix vs. Skunk vs. AAM vs. whatever spacer is sorted out my money is staying in the pocket.

thats just it... there is nothing out there conclusive with the ssv. but people are quick to say it loses power because one dyno said so. well there are 2 out there that say it does gain power. but the naysayers come up with a reason why those dynos arent valid.. i know i picked up power even without my dyno as back up.... now did i pick up 800 dollars worth of power? no i didnt. but to me it was worth the 800 dollars for the power i got to have the best looking manifold out there on my car. it performs just as well as others and looks tons better. that to me makes it worth it.

but i am interested in seeing the back to back dynos as well. to atleast shut up the doubters

Another factor - no STB change needed. This can save hundreds off the actual cost of the manifold. So $800 really becomes $600, for example, or the $300 for one becomes $500 or more with STB. However you want to look at it.

I suggest starting a new thread when testing is actually concluded...

Ok, what exactly would that mean on a 1/4 mile track? Will that lower gear give me higher trap speed or lower? Would my 1/4 mile time be faster or slower? Please explain why each would happen too. What would happen if the track was longer than 1/4 mile? Same questions apply.

Sorry, but I'm not too knowledgeable and still learning. Thanks

too many other factors to say... but basicly on the open road the 3.35 if going to have a higher top speed but less acceleration than the 3.55

bout the easiest way to explain things

No John, there are 3 out there. But I have always been accused of being bias, improper testing or bad Vs good or no tune. After installing Borla exhaust in early 2004, took it and had it dynoed with results in the mid 220 rwhp. I now have Vortech SC, R/T high flow cats, 380 Injectors and yes the SSV. Haven't been on a dyno since 5/20/2005, but with a good tune I was able to get 416 rwhp. Does someone have the knowledge to put rwhp gains to each of those mods after Borla install and dyno numbers?

I agree, lets get back to the initial post, perform the test and then post the numbers.

NO! They posted some pics, but the final product never happened. Per lsdunique @ Kinetix, it was being outsourced. Kinetix and manufacture were not able to determine manufacturing cost and sale price based on uncertain demand.

The above modified stock cover looks better than the Kinetix one anyway, IMO. That's a clean setup. Now just want to see these dyno results already!

Any nisan dealership will have them, they are pretty cheap too.
