kinetix resonated test pipes installed
A buddy of mine from tampa (one350zfan) put on my kinetix test pipes. I can deffanitly feel more pull up top from the pipes. There is little to no rasp. I have the borla exhaust and kinetix test pipes and it sounds sweet. The install took us about 2 hours at a relaxed pace. Big props to one350zfan for inviting me to his house and putting them on.
Only complaint is, when i first start the car there is a loud rattle. it rattles when the car is not warmed up and usually happens right when i put it in first gear? anyone have a suggestion?

I bought the pipes for 165 shipped from a member on this fourm. I will try to get up a sound clip. im not sure if my digital camera has sound clips on it. I think i found out where the rattling is coming from.
Its probably hitting the heatshield. I had 3-4mm clearance from the heat plate when i had a diff set of TP (not aps). I had to bang out the heatshield a little bit. It rumbles because the engine is pretty grumpy when u first start it up and at low rpms under load.
Its gotta be the exhaust hitting the cross member that the resonator pipe on the Borla sit above. We had to loosen the clamps on the exhaust to get enough flex to get the cats off. Kurt, see if you can swing back by this week so we can tweak it. If you want to tackle the adjustment yourself, I'd loosen those four clamps then wedge something between that cross member and your exhaust pipe(something about 3/4" thick). Then tighten the clamps up and take the wedge out and it should be fine.
