Default Exhaust Question

This is probably a stupid question but I have to ask it anyway because I'm looking into getting an exhaust. What is the difference between dual and true dual, which makes more power, and which one is and isn't raspy, if either?

a TRUE DUAL seperates the exhaust from the cats back. a dual usually just has the stock looking twin tips. or even a dual just seperates from the y-pipe with twin mufflers. a good SEARCH in this forum will net you better answers.

Dual exhaust has 2 seperate mufflers and single exhaust only has one muffler.
The best exhausts in term of not being raspy are the ones from ebay (for sale for around $300 bucks). They are best bang for the buck. HP power gain is around 30 to 40 hp. These exhausts only weight around 10lbs. Give it a shot and tell us how u like it.
BTW, you can always use the search feature.

If you are into light shows, these are good for that purpose also as they throw a lot of sparks when they drag on the pavement.....it's really an amazing display for a mere $300.

GO with Nismo you will never regret the grand you shelled out for it. And you can bolt it on yourself in about 2 hours.

The terms are often used interchangeably. True dual exhaust has separate pipes and components (resonator, muffler) for the left and right sides.
