Question Need advice on exhaust...

http://www.bbexhaust.com/car/350z/

I wanted a Nismo exhaust, but cant afford it right now. I have a chance to get the exhaust in that link above for a REALLY GOOD price. I would like to get some facts and opinions on the exhaust and if I should get it. Listen to the sound clip. Just keep in mind Im on a budget and probably wont be able to afford a Nismo for a long time so its either this or keeping the stock for a while. let me know what you think

Save your pennies for something that will provide better flow. This is a Y back system that still leaves the restrictive OEM Y pipe in place so any gains are likely to be minimal. IMO, you would be better off going with HFC's and a Y pipe if you want sound and performance now. You can add the rest later when you have the funds.

Looks like a great deal. It is 2.5" inlet so should free up the 2" OEM Y flow a bit. The price is right. Don't see how you can beat this deal. Let us know if you buy it and how it looks/sounds/quality.

i just got a response from the guy selling the exhaust. he said that it has a pipe that goes to the cat and deletes the resonator, which makes it sound like a porsche. and i do like the sound clip from the web site i linked above. so when i go pick up my hood, im gonna check out the exhaust and probably get it. thanks for your input!!

The only sections shown in the photo are from the y-pipe back (i.e. "b-pipe" and rear muffler). For a single muffler exhaust the only way to match the catalytic converters to the mid-pipe is by using a y-pipe. Is he offering you a Y-pipe as well?

No one is ever going to buy that exhaust for a 350Z. No one.

never heard of it so i wouldnt buy it buy i actually thought it sounded pretty good from the sound clip. this is probably not an otherwise stock Z though. they could have had any exhaust or other modifications on this car. buyer beware.

Im not paying a grand for it. Its used and Im getting it for 200 bucks. If it really sounds like the sound clip then i think its worth 200 bucks. its stainless steel and when on the car it looks identical to stock from the rear.

You have yourself a deal my friend.....an exhaust system, with Y pipe for under $400 sweetens the ROI on your HP gain.
