ok, i had a few people mention to me that their z had a small whine when they installed the JWT pop charger. they said it only happened when they revved the engine when not in gear. is this cause by a small leak...could air be coming in somewhere where it's not supposed to? could they have installed it wrong...or is this normal since the intake is pulling in more air. i'd like to purchase one...but, i was unsure of the noise.

anyone else out there with a JWT pop charger have the same thing happen? if it's normal...i'll get one...if it's not...i can tell them to get it looked at.

I also have a small whistle/whine when I hit the 4000 rpm mark.
It was also there on the factory air box or when there is no filter at all.

It happens in nuetral or when in gear. I guess it is just harder to hear when in gear.

They say it is normal but I personally do not like it.

 

thanks...that's what i figured...but i wanted to make sure. if i get it...i can just tell people it's a turbo...haha!

 

yup...i get the same sound right around the 4k mark...to me that sounds is awesome reminds me of FI, i love it...
