Installed my Injen SES Ti Friday evening. Wow what a pain in the butt. If I had to do it again, I'd pay somebody. I don't think I'm a mechanical genius, but I am familiar with a car, and it still took me 5 hours on my own. I think having a buddy help would have saved time.
Injen01.jpg - The quality of the exhaust looks good. There was a minor scratch on one tip, but not too bad. The packing was MUCH more secure than the Borla TD that I sent back. There weren't any instructions which isn't mandatory, but would have been nice. I would have liked to have seen Injen include a bracket to attach the passenger-side mid-pipe hanger to the car.
Injen02.jpg - Those are some BIG tips!
Injen03.jpg - I jacked up the rear of the car to install the exhaust. I don't know how others did it, but there was no way I'd be able to reach the cats. I ended up putting the car on four stands to make it more accessible- Injen04.jpg
Injen05.jpg - That stock muffler's HUGE! I couldn't get the hangers off, so I had to take a couple parts off to access and take off the brackets. Make sure you put the jack under the exhaust before unbolting the brackets.
Injen06.jpg - I figured this was an opportunity to install the Hotchkis rear sway bar.
At this point, it was getting late, and I put down the camera to get the job done. The pipes went in with some effort, which apparently is normal when working with exhausts. I had a lot of trouble aligning the tips... partly because of the missing bracket I referred to earlier. [B]Does anyone know if Injen was supposed to supply that bracket, or if Nissan has a bracket for the passenger-side mid-pipe?[\B] After about an hour of swearing, I managed to tighten everything up without anything touching, but still not aligned. The next morning I took it into Fast Lane on Regent. They put it up on the lift and did a great job getting it aligned fairly well. One guy held the piping, and the other cinched it down tight with an impact gun.
Injen07 & 08.jpg - The end result. Looks good, but the right side is a little wonky still, because of the missing bracket.
It's got a beautiful sound, but MAN is it LOUD (I'm completely stock otherwise)!!! I'm not experiencing any raspiness or droning. At idle it sounds nice. Under any acceleration it's LOUD. At cruise it's noticable. I'm wondering if I'm gonna be able to tolerate it for those occaisional 8-hour trips. I'll try to get a sound clip today.

I just re-installed the previous version Injen straight-tip true dual a few days ago... one hour from the time I jacked the car up to when she was back down again
I don't know about the new version, but the old one had a bracket with it that relocated the rubber hanger from the passenger's side so that you could use it on the mid-pipe. Maybe you should contact Injen and see if you can still get one? Or maybe someone with the new version can confirm whether this part is still included.
Boy, those stock systems rust up good when they aren't in California.
Yeah, Injen had a small bracket with the earlier setup that bolted on and let you use the third hanger, I think some here have reportedly called Injen to get them to send this out for their new Ti system.

I installed this exhaust a couple weeks ago and all I can say is that running it with headers and test pipes makes a HUGE difference in the sound. I have absolutely no rasp at all at very little drone. I have heard mixed reviews about the old Injen but have no problems at all with my Ti system.
About the hanger, just contact Injen, I had to call them for mine. I am running with high flow cats, and it sounds awesome. No rasp at all. I ran at the track this past weekend, and got alot of compliments on the sound of it at WOT. Good choice man.

After 3 days with the exhaust... my impressions:
At idle - Slightly louder than stock... note is much deeper.
1500-2500 RPM - Loud drone under acceleration, you can feel vibration through the seats. Noticable drone at cruise, quiet coasting. MUCH louder than stock in the cabin.
2500-3000 RPM - Drone diminishes.
3000-6600 RPM - Engine roars... sounds fantastic... moderately louder than stock.
I went for an hour-long drive on the highway at 110 km/h (69 mph). It wasn't too bad, but louder than what I would have liked. Around town, I'm getting used to the drone... it does sound a lot better than the inline-4s and the V-8s... just hope it's not too obnoxious. Comments I've received from people I know is that it is definitely louder than stock, but "it's not too bad" or "they've heard worse".
Lerxst,
Nice report. I have not heard this system but it sure is BEAUTIFUL to look at!!! Does it rub anywhere, vibrate, or make contact with anything? Your impression on Fit and quality (if you had the bracket that was missing)?

Fitment was good... hooking up to the cats was a bit of a challenge, but if you push and wiggle, it pops on. Without the bracket, alignment without touching the bumper took a little effort. Up on the lift with two guys, alignment without any contact was quite simple.
I'll try for a small video by this weekend as well...

Just got an email from Injen... the bracket is on its way. That was quick & easy... props to Injen on customer service. I was also happy with the service from Darren of Intense Motorsport in buying the exhaust.

A couple of weeks have gone by and I'm loving this exhaust. The "drone" if you can call it that, doesn't bother me at all. It's nicer to listen to than the radio. The only issue is a buzzing from 3750-4000 RPM. Might be fixed when I get the bracket.
Here's my first attempt at clips. Sorry for the file size. I recorded them on my Canon S3IS on the lowest setting. I'd welcome advice on how to make these smaller... or just to convert to sound.
