Default so confused.... is motordyne 5/16" basic plenum spacer kit right for my car?

I was planning on getting the motordyne 5/16" basic plenum spacer kit on intensepower.com for $265 but I did a search and was reading it doesn't show gains for every 350z (revup, non revup, ect). I have an 03 mt6 touring, 287hp and 6500rpm red line (if any of that matters) and want to know if it will show gains in my car or is it for the newer 300hp engines? I've only seen dynos for it on more recent cars. anyone an answer for this?

yes you will get a gain....claims are 15hp i believe....you can expect a 5-12 hp increase.

coupled with the mrev2 you should be good.

you probably gain 5-10 hp out of this on non-rev engine.

On your setup, I think more like 5-7 hp gains

the mrev2 is the lower plenum on a 287 motor with the intake runners shaved down, paired with the 5/16 you should make decent gains, along with a meaner intake growl.

dont worry too much about getting the upper plenum

please always use the search button for these types of questions, it has been covered many times

also you may want to contact motordyne/hydrazine for these type of questions.

We have been discussing the spacers in-depth since the Sport Z Magazine Shoot-Out months ago. Please review the information in the proper forum.

Does the spacer work with the pop charger or do I need a ECU tune?

yes you do and while youre at it put a couple of small stones in your intake to reduce air flow from all the air the pop charger is sucking in

I'd shoot for the MD rev2 lower before the 5/16 spacer. If I read correctly the rev2 made decent gains over the spacer, then when coupled with the spacer only about 2/3 more HP which in my book is not worth buying both. There is a big write up in another thread along with some dyno results if your intrested.

So, does the M-Rev2 Installation on a REvup motor void the factory warranty?
