will this magnaflow 16622 universal muffler work on the 350z? still cant find a def. answer

work, what do you mean by work? IN a custom job? yeah it'll work. On stock parts? no it probably wont.

 

why on earth would you want to replace Z muffler with this one unless u replace the whole exhaust system? Z muffler is designed to work with the exhaust system.

 

im wondering why u would want to do that to ur z. Theirs so many other exhaust options which are scrictly for z's. I havent seen anyone put an aftermarket muffler on a z other than an actual catback exhaust.

 

a guy did a similar set up https://my350z.com/forum/intake-exhaust/206864-stock-exhaust-sound-on-steroids-magnaflow.html with good results. i was looking to put this muffler in place of the stock one and weld the stock tips on to it. why wont this muffler work on the Z's exhaust? under my car i see one inlet and two outlets

 

dude, itll work but the restrictions on the cats and y pipe is goin to be hard in noticing any gains. Your definitely goin save some $ on that setup. For our Z's, we get minimal gains in exhaust upgrades.

 

im not in it for the power gains, i just wanted a deeper more aggressive sound from my car. 5-10 HP from a catback system doesnt seem worth $800+ for me right now. Maybe in the future, i got this muffler for $75
