Default injen sp1986

i just ordered injen cai and was wondering if the new maf sensor would create reliability issues.

i read somewhere that what it does is trick the ecu that it is taking in less air then it really is, so the ecu does not "pull timing". if this is true, that would b mean the engine is running lean. is this bad for the car?

thanks..

Have only an intake on mine and its working fine. I heard of this problem but on the sp1985 model, may be wrong though.

thanks for the replies, i think we should be ok, since rpacman has lots of airflow mods and he was still running rich. seems like the stock ecu runs really rich, so if we open up some more airflow, it can only get closer to optimal ratio... just what i think though.

it doesnt have a new maf sensor. it actually has a relocated new maf housing but it is the exact same size as stock. this should cause absolutely no problems at all....
