noise and ses light after intake install
i just installed my injen last night. when i first started the car, everythign was fine, then i would get a really loud noise a 4k which got even louder at 6k. this was not a gradual sound, but a very distinct jump in loudness. all was fine, until i revved my engine in neutral to about 5.5k revs and the service engine soon light came on.
i reset the ecu with the technosquare instructions, but today, i tried my car out and was driving easily. then i decided to gun it, so i turned vdc off, first and second the sound was very smooth. but then in third, it suddenly got alot louder. at the top of third the ses light came on and vdc, slip lights stayed on even when i tried to turn vdc back on.
i dont have an obd reader, so i dont know what code was thrown. anyone know what could be happening?
i reset the ecu again and the weird sound is gone. anyone have any ideas what is going on ?
thanks

Left my crystal ball in the office, but seriously, you need to pull the codes. MAF sensor backwards, loose hose connections, rattle/vibrations, damaged sensor, just to throw out a few guesses. Go to Advanced Auto Parts and have them read your codes for free.
