hey guys i am currectly trying to find a new intake setup. i know about the jwt and i'm leaning towards it, but i also was thinking about keeping the stock air box with maybe a new drop in filter and this "performance cold air duct as it is called.

I sort of like the JWT Popcharger in conjunction with the new air duct. The main drawback would be all of the dirt / road debris / bugs that will be flying at the JWT filter and into your engine bay. Does the duct have any sort of screen inside that helps to keep out the bigger solids that may enter it?

thanks for the advise guys. i was looking at it doesnt seem to have a screen. all it really seems to be is a pipe that runs down to the bottom of the bumper near the front opening/grill. i was thinking about using it with the jwt but then it says on the site its only for the oem air box. the only reason i like the air box is because its sealed almost completely from the engine bay and also i like how it fills up the entire space in the engine bay. I know one thing for sure is i love the sound of the jwt...hmmm man i don't know. thanks again if anyone else can help please do so
just get a drop-in from Blitz or Nismo. I think the OEM box is better than aftermarket. I heard from somewhere that OEM can support up to 400 hp, but that aside it also insulate intake from hot temperature in the engine bay. In my opinion, it's the best design...unless of course you wanna go for the look, then get the after market one.

????? Filters do not support horsepower levels.....
Popcharger, Injen cold air, NISMO cold air, or a drop in K&N/Blitz, etc - on an otherwise stock car, all provide very similar gains. The main difference is looks and sound
The stock airbox is a fine design, as are all the intakes listed above. You are not going to set the world on fire with any intake (this coming from someone who has an insanely priced intake, which I bought solely because I knew it would be a rare piece, not for any design merits it may have)
