Default Oil in intake manifold?

I took my intake manifold off to switch it off for a crawford and noticed oil all over the inside of my intake manifold. It wasn't much, maybe 2 spoons througout the whole manifold, but this all happened over 3k miles. Is this normal?

You mean the top of the plenum? Yes its normal.

BTW the MREV++ in your signature is a modified lower plenum right? And you are adding the Crawford upper plenum. The results will be interesting. Let us know how the car runs. Thanks.

pretty normal, it might be a good idea to clean it every 30k miles or so.

JWT popcharger doesn't keep your plenum as clean as, say, OEM paper filter.

Its not oil from the popcharger or outside. Its blowby. I didnt think it would be this significant.

And davidv, the results are no different from my SSV sadly. I can tell im in need of a tune because i backfire alot (every shift and every time i rev slightly) and when i go WOT, theres NO fuel or thick black smoke coming outg the pipes, meaning its lean at WOT. Headers+UTEC+Tune next spring probably..
