Default Exhaust Question

I drive a 2004 Subaru WRX STI right now and within the next month I am trading it in for a 2006 Enthusiast Z. My question is simple and probably stupid but i'm going to ask it anyway. Will there be any problems if you buy a Cat Back from one brand and test pipes from another or do they have to both be made from the same company to work more efficiently? Thanks guys.

Welcome.

No problem. The only thing that you may want to match is the inner diameter. Say 60mm test pipes to 60mm cat back exhaust.

True about the diameter. You should always try to match it up. 2.5 inch is efficent all the way up to 550 RWH. You need to make sure that when you purchase a cat-back from one manufactuer and test pipes, or cats from another that the test pipes or cats were designed off of stock components. If you are looking in to exhaust, check ours out at www.fastintentions.com We have sound clips, pictures, and dyno charts to back up our exhaust. If you have any questions feel free to ask and by the way, welcome...Thanks, Tony
