Default Should I be scared of my Injen CAI in rain?

How scared should I be in the rain with my Injen CAI? Same for washing my car. When I wash my car I spray the front pretty good and hits my filter, just don't know if it is something I should worry about much. P.S I searched and nothing came up, so no search crap.

If your washing your car, just make sure the car isn't running. As far as rain goes, as long as you avoid deep puddles you should be fine. I've had mine for over a year and have not had any problems. However, if you want to be extra safe, they make a cover for the filter ( like a condom) to help protect it.

Thanks, I just don't know how much water it takes for the water to get all the way up to the piping of the intake and into the cylinders... But I really do not want to find out! Condom? How would the intake breath then?

It's not made out of latex.

If you submerge your filter (say in a deep puddle while driving), water will be sucked up and turned into a "foam" which can be sucked into and consequently destroy your motor.

Do a bit more searching and researching on CAIs. you will find out that their gains are neglegible. Actually, not a single cai has proven power over a popcharger.

stick with a short ram like a popcharger.
