Default Skunk2 Plenum Spacer

I know theres a few ppl on this forum that have the 5/8 spacer, but my question is, it being that big, wont that result in a power/torque loss in the lower rpm range? I'm assuming it should still sound pretty amazing. Does anyone have a dyno chart?

Loss of low end horsepower and torque? Where does this idea come from.

Check the charts at motordyne.com. I like the results of a 5/16 inch spacer but not taller. Decide for yourself.

go with MD 5/16 Iso-Thermal. retain the factory strut bar as well.

Plenum volume is a tricky subject. Too much volume and you lose throttle response, even though peak HP might be better. Too little volume, and you're choked for air.

The 5/16" seems to be a good compromise.

i agree with you all, i would get a 5/16", but with the skunk ur saving a lot money, also, i have a g35 coupe, so i dont have a strut

all i wanted to know is, is power/torque lost at the bottom end of the rpm range because 5/8 adds quite a bit of volume.

I didnt lose any hp at the lower rpms, but with this spacer and an intake I made 245hp on my 03
