I read somewhere that the borla claims to make just as much power as the stillen, but is 18lbs lighter than stock, if this is truely the case, which in most circumastances numbers are always high, this would be a good set up. I always shop for the most bang for the buck! What it really boils down to is what you like. If you search there is a thread that has exhaust clips. Good Luck!

HKS sounds almost like stock. Don't you want some more flavor?

Ehhh ... not sure about that

This thread has made me look at Invidia more. I never really paid attention to them or researched their exhaust. I think the g200 Ti looks nice ... but how does it sound? Anybody in this thread with it?

To the OP ...

Where are you seeing Invidia going for $500-600 less than HKS?

EDIT: okay nevermind, didn't realize how much HKS was going for these days! DAMN!

i say it depends on what you are doing to the z in the future...if you're going FI then i'd go with the JIC Spartan Ti Type-1 (single exit) exhaust, since it has 3" piping...that's what i'm gonna get for my car...looks sick and has a really deep growl...but if you plan on just being NA then you're better off with the greddy evo II, heard some good things about this exhaust...but that's just IMO...so don't quote me on it, or flame me...hahahaha...

I'm in the same situation you are. I'm not going to any mods to the engine besides the ones I've already have done, which was only a Z-tube and K&N filter. If I do any more mods it will be after my warranty is up and I will stay NA.

IMO, it's hard to justify $1300-$1500 for an exhaust for a non modded motor. I'd rather save some money and put it towards a camber kit, oem front lip or even a Valentine radar detector.

I'm as confused as you are.......

Edit: Decided on the Tanabe Super Medalion Hyper gives me what I was looking for. A deeper sound not not too over bearing, gives somewhat a stock sound but deeper during idle and under acceleration but not a hint of droning while cruising. Also, the Tanabes are very well made, it fit like a glove.

[QUOTE=seatown z]i say it depends on what you are doing to the z in the future...

+1 If your going turbo get the JIC Spartan Ti Type-1 or HKS, if your going to be N/A i would get the Nismo personally.

Side Note:i though Nismo had the most power gain for n/a and not Stillen

i went w/ borla and i love it, it's lighter, sounds more muscle car-ish, and doesnt look too much diff than stock. but thats what i wanted. for the price it was the best bet.

I like everything I hear about Borla, but I just can't stand the double walled tips they have. To me it just looks cheap and ugly.

I voted Invidia G200 for your application (6MT). I've had mine for over a year and half.
Here's my dyno for my 2003 G35C 5AT. I lost HP and TQ below 5,300 RPM, but made up for it on the top end.

My 5AT shifted funny after the exhaust. Earlier this year I added a custom H-pipe and have some of the TQ back in the lowend.

i vote for nismo even though its not one of your choices. I love the stock vq note. Imagine it amplified! and thats what you get out of the nismo. Not only does the nismo give you gain up top, it also does not loose any power at the low end. Possibablly improve some low end power as well.

I just noticed in one of the posts the dyno chart shows a drop in torque with the G200 system. I'm wondering if you will notice this....just curious. Let us know what you think after it's installed.
