JWT Pop Charger Install ?
I searched and couldn't find it.
While installing the pop charger, do you need to drill the two holes in the inlet box as shown here. Can't the heatshield just rest up against it. I want to keep my ZR OEM as possible. Thanks!

IT WILL NOT rest up against it.
I would really like to hear the way other people installed that shield, before I state how I wound up doing it and being flamed for it. You can't see how I got mine to secure and it's certainly not going anywhere.
But I can tell you the smallest phillips head in the world isn't getting the job done.
There was blood on the inside of the heat shield from the previous owner, so I knew it was going to be a *****.

hmmmmm, I vaguely remember when I installed my pop charger on my 03 Z, and I remember not drilling any holes, and just resting it up against the inlet hole. I do remember installing the heat shield (PITA) and breaking the bottom bolt on the MAF tube area as well, which I WILL NOT do again,

It'll be more secure if the heat shield is bolted to the inlet box. It may rattle if not bolted, or worse case, loosen up and catch something in the engine compartment.
I pulled the inlet box out from the front to drill the two holes. It was a tight fit -- if I remember, I had to wiggle it out and turn it sideways to get it out. I also read sometime ago from another poster that they just heated a pin and used that to put a hole in the inlet box. I guess it was hot enough that it melted the two holes for the bolt.

Mine was a kind of 1/2 *** drill. The screws BARELY caught onto the inlet pipe. It was just enough to make it hold. The main piece to get is the support rail that goes along the bottom. The 2 screws that you are talking about just keep it from moving side-to-side too much. You might be able to get away with using duct tape if you dont want to screw any holes. I painted my heatshield black, so if you do that and paint the tape black, you wouldnt have any visible differences.
And besides, no one is really going to see the holes or tape regardless of which option you chose.

I didn't drill anything.
All I did was bend (slightly, gently) the flap with the 2 holes on the heatshield inward towards the snorkel (if you install it properly the flap will be outside of the snorkel. I made it go inside.) and let that flap rest inside the snorkel. Since there is tension on the flap, it doesn't move around. No need for holes whatsoever.

i drilled it- much more secure IMO
not the easiest of things to do...spent a good 15 min guessing where the holes were on the other side, then measuring the distance between them.
got too annoyed, i drilled 3 holes of best estimate.
thankfully, 1 was way off and 2 were on the dot.
