Default Kinetix SSV vs. Motordyne 5/16 spacer?

Is the cost of the Kinetix SSV ($819) worth it? Other than the bling bling factor, is there a significant performance difference for an NA car over the motordyne 5/16" iso-thermal spacer ($295)?

not a *significant performance differences, but I felt a little bump going from mrev2/crawfordv5 to the SSV, and if you ever plan on tuning down the road then SSV is the way to go

A little bump in low end, top end, or all around? How is the sound compared to the plenum? Is it louder?

How did your numbers change when you went with the SSV? Also did I read this right, you were running a crawford v5 with a mrev2? Dont you lose power like that ?

SSV is the biggest scam of all time. If you waste money on this piece, I will slap you.

SSV is a terrible design.

I don't think it would hurt you if you're F/I but either way, it's never going to be worth the cost.

I did a dyno day to compare the Kinetix SSV and the Kinetix V5.

Check out this link.

Thank you very much for that link. I did search for info on the SSV, I guess that thread was burried too deep.

OK, So I think I'll just forget about how sweet the SSV would look and go for the Motordyne 5/16" spacer.

The test were done on naturally aspiratd motors only, not of FI. I think the results would have been completely different if it were tested on a FI car. It might not make 20hp, but what parts on our car does? Hell go buy a $1400 exhaust and tell me if it is cost effective! You'll be lucky to see 10hp. For me the exclusiveness, bling factor and the ability to make more power further down the line, would steer me in the kinetix favor.

PS. I have the SSV for sale(bought it off another member about 2 months ago) less than 3000 miles on it.

I have yet to utilize the intake. I decided to go with the SFR manifold instead, since I just purchased there turbokit.
