Default 1/2" Spacer Tested on REVUP

Hey Guys,

Here is some interesting old data I thought I would share since it wasn't previously posted with the dyno plots.

I just recently picked up a Dynapack dyno machine for accelerated research and development. Now that I have the dynapack software viewer available I plugged in some old data I collected from prior testing performed at Curch Automotive in Wilmington California.

Below is plot of the 1/2" spacer on a "REVUP" engine. It was a little over a year ago, but the results are fully valid. It was performed at one of the Church Automotive dyno days. All pertinent variables were monitored and strictly controled.
Same gas, same day, same dyno, same number of engine miles, same ECU resets, same coolant temperatures, car wasn't removed from the dyno and all that stuff...

The results were both good and bad news.

1) Bad new - Spacer had no effect (or was within the margin of error) on the "REVUP" engine...

2) Good news - Failure forced thinking out of the box. This led to the first generation MREV, which, ironicly, turned out to be vastly better than any spacer gains on any VQ engine.
...even better than any other single NA bolt on!

So the non existant gains shown in the pre/post plots below actually ended up being a good thing.

.

Hmm, i havent dyno'd my car, but i wonder what the crawford upper plenum did on my rev-up, i bought it from a friend for cheap, and it felt better in pick up, but it was for the non-rev up motor.

Just in case there is any misunderstanding of my prior post.

The spacers definitly work on the "NON-REVUP" engine.
