Default SES light after leaving the track last night, but oddly, it's running better!

The SES light came on after leaving the drag strip last night. The car felt like it was in limp mode for a few miles, but then oddly, it started running better than ever. I have no idea what is causing the light yet, but I do have the Helix TP's with the non fouler O2 sensor mod.

I ran some 101 octane last night, only 1 gallon added to 7 gallons of 93 already in the tank. I thought maybe that made it finally set off an O2 sensor.

The car had been running lean, but now it feels very strong, stronger than I have ever felt, and the SES light is still on. I'll have it scanned on Monday. I also recently cleaned the pop charger, about 3 weeks ago. I thought maybe some oil worked it's way to the Mass Air Sensor, but I doubt it, as it would run horrible in that case. That, and I was careful with the re-oiling.

I just don't understand why it is running so strong after setting off the SES light!? I thought maybe it was running with a richer mix, due to the code.

Ideas?

Well, the SES was off all the way home from work, so I suspect it was the 1 gallon of 101 I put in at the track, that tripped an O2 sensor.

As I expected, it feels like I have lost power since the SES light went back off.

I really need the UTEC, so I can tune it.

Next time you get a SES light you should get it checked instead of erasing the code.

Why play guessing games when it's FREE to get checked? Or you can get an OBDII scanner, or you can get a cipher tool, etc and do it yourself.

I didn't erase the code. The SES light didn't come on after I left work, so the code should still be in there.

If the light is off (dark) I'm pretty sure the code is erased already.

If the light is on / lit (bright) then the code will still be there.

I re-read your posts and it seems like maybe you said "off" instead of "on" or vice versa.

I'll check with the dealer, but I am pretty sure the code remains, until the ecu is reset, even after the light goes off.

The light was on for 4 days, after leaving the track. After I left work last night, it never came on.
