Exhaust Leak When Installed Y-Pipe
Installed my Y-pipe about 2 weeks ago and have a very smal exhaust leak ever since, I thought it might be the cheap gasket but I bought a new one from Nissan and I am still having leak out of the same gasket. Any ideas, i didnt tighten them really tight because i didnt want to bend the flange, and it its the back gasket not the ones that hooks up to my test pipes. ANY IDEAS TO HELP SOLVE PROBLEM.....
First, tighten all bolts to spec torque. If it's still leaking, look for the leak. If it's at the rear joint, tighten it a little more. I snugged it down pretty good but still had a very small condensation drip, but after a while, it plugged up.

yea i also have a small condensation drip, ive found the leak its on the rear joint, i guess i will tighten a little more but im just worried about bending that flange.
I put ~35ft-lbs on it, and I didn't see any distortion (JIC Y-pipe, Amuse R1000 exhaust). OEM specs are ~25ft-lbs. Unless you can hear and feel a major leak, don't mess with it. Condensation will drip out even through a pretty small space.
