Its kind of hard how to see a flywheel could be installed incorrectly..I mean there's a nipple the flywheel has to sit into. The JWT combo isnt supposed to be a extreme diffrence compared to Stock right? I had a tilton I installed that weighed like 16-17 lbs total and I just switched to a ATS that is 26lbs and to be honest the Rev change from the 9lb diffrence is very minimal.
I went FI because everytime I added NA mods in the past (Pre-Turbo) I coundnt tell that much of a diffrence on the Z, sure the sound changed but overall im not one of those people that change the intake and say "wow omg the Z is so fast now"
Sometimes people overkill the performace gains of parts and maybe you just expected too much.

My 2005 had a sluggish problem and would stall every now and again. After 3 trips to dealer they spent 4 days on the phone with tech support. They then called me and said nissan is sending a new updated flywheel. They said the old flywheel in my production was machined incorrectly. The old flywheel had a misaligned key which caused base timing to be retarded too much.
I dont know if base timing is controlled by the flywheel at all so I couldnt tell if they were full of crap. Anyways its been running great scince.

But the greddy has good control over fuel... that's about it

Well fells the problem was that ASAA racing installed the flywheel wrong or misalign the flywheel and the stock ECU was sending out a code that caused the check engine light to come on. The misalignment of the flywheel caused the trimming to be off and the car went into limp mode making like half the horsepower. ASAA reinstalled the flywheel and corrected the problem with the trimming and apologized for the delay of my car. I retest drove the car after the problem was fixed and Wow what a difference a day makes. The car feels as if it picked up like 50 hp, the car accelerates like nobody’s business with the lightened flywheel and the clutch feels marvelous to say the least. After I get a tune at SGP and some wheels I am going to post picks of my car before and after along with dyno numbers.
My overall experience at ASAA Racing was kind of good and kind of bad. First of all they have great customer service and fairly low pricing on labor starting at 50 bucks an hour. The bad thing is that they are not a specialized shop they typically work on Hondas and my 350z was the only one at the shop other then the owners. Compared to SGP racing ASAA is a good bargain but they lack know how and experience that SGP offers. Mark and his crew are top notch and they are known to produce 600 hp 350z with ease and i've been there when the dealership calls for advice on things yeah I know that’s hard to believe but I was there when Sean took the call. So in short if you want your car done right the first time and money is no object
Go to SGP but if you’re on a slight budget go to ASAA if you have all new parts then it should be no problem at asaa
