Mine just arrived today. My first thought was to take it out of the box and weigh it.
It came in two separate boxes. The weight on box one read 38 lbs. The weight on box two was 20 lbs. One would think the exhaust would weigh less than that, seeing how the boxes are large and include packing materials. However to my surpise, after weighing everything down to the last screw... total weight was 73 lbs. Not light by any means but significantly less than 91 lbs that I read in another thread. I'm not sure why the boxes were marked the way they are?
I have not taken the stock exhaust off yet so I dont have that to compare. My guess is around 65 lbs. I will let you know hopefully in the next couple of days.
If anyone else has already taken it off and has the numbers, feel free to enlighten the rest of us.

Got mine yesterday afternoon and had it installed this morning. Looks great and sounds great. I don't have any numbers on the weight vs. stock. It really doesn't matter to me. My installer said it was the easiest system he has ever done.
Thanks again to Paul at Avalon.

Well, after a couple weeks of driving with the Stillen exhaust installed, I thought I would give it a review.
First off the Stillen exhaust weighs 73LBS. My stock exhaust weighed 58 LBS. That means my car weighs 15 lbs more than it used too. NOT GOOD! My Supra exhaust weighed under 25LBS total.
The sound/tone is nice. I would give it a B+. I perfer a quiet exhaust but it does have an ever so slight drone around 3K.
The looks are good. I give it a B. I would prefer to see the edges of the tips rolled. I don't like the way the tips stick out further than stock and I would prefer the mufflers not to hang so low. Also, I don't like where the Stillen logo is located.
Performance is noticable. A-. Without dynoing I have no idea but I will say that I notice a difference. I would say the torque is greater/more noticable than the HP gain. I have an automatic so I am not sure if that has something to do with it.
Overall I am happy. I would perfer to have paid a little more money and had a lighter type of metal used, IE TI. The quality is good but not great. One tip seems to point a different direction than the other. It is off by maybe an inch.
Feel free to ask any other questions.

Your tip is off by an inch? That's a whole lot! Can you get it adjusted? If it's one thing I hate, it's an aftermarket system that doesn't line up with the factory cutouts EXACTLY. I'll bet your installer can adjust it for you.
Have you or anyone done timed acceleration runs with the Stillen?
Can you expound on the felt difference in performance? Is it at all rev ranges or does it feel particularly stronger at one point on the curve?
thanks!

Ive seen the stillen exhaust on the Z in person. What really turned me off is when you stand behind the car you hardly cant see the tips like the stock. Come on it should stand out and look better then the stock. I'm still waiting until there is a better looking, performer exhaust for the Z.
So glad I read this because I have only seen the Stillen exhaust on their site and have not REALLY checked out any other one. The hp gains they advertise are very attractive and I'm anxious to see if they are correct.
The weight issue is important to me also, why would they produce such a heavy system in a time when people care soooo much about it. I know its a full dual system but geez. Since I have a base model; weight is about the only strong point I have and I need to hold on to it. The titanium pipes sure catch my attention on nismo.com/muffler. We won't ask how much they are

In reguards to the 1" difference on the right side its due to the fact that the exhaust has a connecting pipe on that side connecting the muffler that is a male to female type fit. It needs to be pushed back into the connecting pipe as far as it can go. I had the same issue with mine. After putting a bit more effort into it I managed to get it on a bit farther. This corected the offset.
As far as how far the tips stick out vs stock they are further out than stock. If you are looking for something alot more dramatic you might want to look at a different system.
I believe the weight gain needed to do this design will be justified when those that have it incorporate it with a turbo or SC kit. I still believe the design will allow for the most gains from an exhaust with the bigger mods soon to be released. This is just my opinion. I took my car to Dyno-comp here in AZ and the owner while helping me with some camber adjustments commented about how much he liked the Stillen set up. He had seen several other exhausts that are avail installed and dyno in his shop on 350z's and said that the Stillen design was by far the best.

I'm assuming when you say the right side that you mean the drivers side. That is the side that is off for me. The passenger side is perfect. Tom mentioned pulling out the valence and that helped. I would say it is only off by 1/2 an inch but that is still significant for me.
I gave the exhaust a very good overall rating "B+". I just felt there are a few things they should have done differently. I still think it is the best exhaust currently. But I do feel I will be changing exhausts in the next couple years. I have considered cutting off the stock tips and welding them to the Stillen.

that's true, but it seems to me that weight would be one of the things they focused on while making the system..
any horsepower gains they got are not as high as they say, just because the exhaust weighs so much more..
