Default Strup Test Pipes

Well there arent to many reviews on these. I was going to get kinetix non resonated pipes but the plans fell through so im shopping around again. The strups look good and are priced good and i thought strup was a good brand. If you have the test pipes can you give your reviews. I saw one review and it didnt sound to good. Thanx.

I don't have test pipes but this is what I've found from searching the board:

*Sound and power are about the same with most test pipes.

*Tests pipes are often assocoated with a raspy sound and a smelly exhaust system.

*Test pipes usually yield a couple more horsepower than highflow cats

*Highflow cats are quieter

*Depending on your model year you may have to do modifications in order to get rid of a Check Engine Light (CEL) when using test pipes

*Strup pipes seemed to have pleased many of the board members who have them, however like most products for our cars there are mixed reviews

----------------------------------------
I personally don't want to dal with all of these downsides of test pipes so I'm having a shop install high flow cats on monday which will be paired witha y-pipe, ECU reflash and dyno tuning.

-Hope this helps

I have STRUP TP's and am very happy with them... I instantly felt a power gain and I am still running stock exhaust (Borla TD on the way!!!)... I was happy with them and the rasp isnt as bad as a lot of people were describing when I was researching them... The sound kind of grew on me after a while...
