Default Cleaning MAF Sensor

Has anyone cleaned their mass air flow sensor and notice any results. The have a cleaner that you could pick up in the store and I saw on speed, that cleaning the maf sensor, will help the air flow of the intake and spark. Since the wires regulates the amount of air that comes through the intake sending spark to the ignition.

Just be careful cleaning it. It only takes the slightest little bend on the wire to mess it up.

No, it does not regulate the amount of air that comes through the intake, and it certainly has nothing to do with sending spark to the ignition. Guess what a Mass Air Flow sensor does? Yes, it measures the mass flow of air passing into the engine. If it has to be cleaned, go to Radio Shack and get a can of electronics cleaner. Just spay it on and let it evaporate. You're better off not touching the wire.

The reason it's good to have a clean MAF sensor:

If your MAF is gunked up, the ECU will think there is less air coming in, when in fact there is MORE air coming in.

Which is bad.
