What about a heat shield that JWT provides for their Intake system, do I need one? I'm interested in this because the where the filter is placed, it's hard to get to and clean it out.

It's easy to clean when it's set up like a Pop Charger. The heat shield will most likely help when at idle (for under engine heat) but under speed you will get plenty of fresh air.

I just tried taking it out. It seems to hard trying to adjust it right to get it out and what not

.I took of the metal belt tightner right off the maf sensor on the rubber tube, and the rubber tube part didn't seem so too easy to take off? What is some advise you can ive me for the litle problems that com along when taking it out? I don't know how to get the lower half of the intake out because of the way it bends? Is it even worth it? Do you think I should just let it be?

Water with a little soap helps, just be sure to wipe it all up when you're done.

See how this dude set up his Nismo: https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....njen+short+ram

I might just leave it. It doesn't rain too much in tucson, so I should only worry when it does rain. If I do end up doing it, then thanks for the help. Does it actually pull harder/sound louder?

You do know I photoshopped that air freshener in right?

Damn, that was a quick responce. I guess I will do it. I mean I have nothing to loe but more to gain so I guess I will go ahead and try it so I can hear the difference in sound/pull.

Just haven't gotten a totally clear answer on how to go about moving the bottom portion of the intake past the MAF sensor? If I un hook the rubber tube should I be able to get it off just by that?

Ok how in the hell do you get to the damn filter? I got the red riber of the MAF sensor and I couldn't find out how to get the rest of it to come through? Can someone give me an answer to this?
