Default Poll: Stillen TD or something else?

I looking to get an exhaust for Christmas. I have heard tons of sound clips but have never heard any Z exhausts in person (New Hampshire people don't really mod Z's) Anyways I like the sound of the Stillen TD and wanted some opinions. I'm staying NA and at most my mods will go up to spacer, exhaust, intake, HFC, flywheel
If you don't like the Stillen please post your other 1st choice. The HKS is a bit more than I want to spend also.

I wasn't a big fan of the Stillen that I heard in person, or the ones that I've heard in sound clips. Right now I have an Injen SES TD straight-tip, with a custom H-pipe, and LOVE the sound. If you get an Injen though, make sure you have an exhaust shop weld in an H-pipe. Before that, I only thought the sound was so-so, but afterwards, some of the stock "Z" growl returned. The only bad thing (well, to some) is that the exhaust is on the loud side and also drones a bit on the highway.

I'm installing a Nismo exhaust later this week, and probably test pipes next week though, just to go for something different.

Oh, BTW... in before davidv posts his exhaust answer!

If you're staying NA go with Nismo or Pro-1

if you go to "thread tools" at the top of the thread, you can convert to a poll if you want

sweet added the poll, thanks wired.

The only thing i didn't like about Nismo is that its a single pipe and looks a bit too stock for my liking.

Ultimately i want an exhaust that is relatively quiet when cruising but sounds mean when WOT...and the sound clip I heard of the Stillen sounded great

I've been happy with my 5zigen A-spec single so far. Helped get me into the 12's.

Injen SES with Xpipe and Stillen Test Pipes!
Good combo. I had a custom Xpipe welded in and have been happy as a clam ever since.

My other recommendation would be HKS Ti Dual and again Stillen Test Pipes.

If staying N/A, get the Nismo, Greddy Evo2, or maybe the HKS. If going TT, get the APS 2.5"

Just say no to the Injen SES.

If you are looking for test pipes, APS are the best for nonresonated while Labree puts out the highest quality resonated pipes.

i'm definately staying NA. The nismo looks a little too stock for me. I haven't heard much of the greddy.

Any particular reason why people don't like the Stillen that much?

heavy, overpriced. Sounds just OK. Doesn't look that good.

Of course everything Stillen is usually overpriced.

Stillen = Stealin

i'd go with the nismo. had it when i was n/a and it has an incredible sound. no other aftermarket exhaust can quite sound as clean as the nismo IMO.

Fast Intentions Intimidator. Its got some of the best best gains you can get from an exhaust system, it sounds great, looks great, and FI has some of the best customer service out there.

I dunno, stillen seems like a decent price for a true dual. True it's a bit heavier than some... but not that bad

Stillen is awesome especially if you don't want drone at cruise. With test pipes or hfc's it really sounds mean. and the weight difference is neglegible and could be compensated for by the "HUGE DUMP" mod.
