Question What Do you recommend...

So many opinions coming with Christmas I don't know what to do. Let me hear what you guys think. My current mods are in my sig. I'm thinking about 3 thing to do:

1) Hotchkis TVS Kit, GT Spec F/R Lower Arm Bar Combo, & new Helmet ($700)
2) Tanabe Touring exhaust w/ Tanabe Y-Pipe ($1200)
3) HKS Hi-Power TD exhaust ($1300)

I want the suspention upgrades to help on the street and track. But yet the exhaust will help free up some power I'm losing from the restrictive stock exhaust. I know there is a bit of a price difference between the suspention upgrades & the exhausts, but I would save the rest of the money for future mods. What do you suggest and why???

Exhaust...Made a big difference on my G, and I've had two different ones. Sticking with my Stillen, but similar results with the HKS

go with the tanabe because I want to see if you make any gains with it

plus, practically no one has it, so it's pretty unique... plus you know it sounds the best

My vote went to the selection that might (I don't know much about the Hotchkis stuff) help your Z handle a bit better. You also budgeted for a new SA-rated helmet in there and that is possibly worth a vote in itself.

if you ever TT youll want to ditch both exhausts and go with 3" my advice is go with Suspension and do that first... I think youll get the most out of it! Then if you go with TT later or even plan on doing so wait until you get a kit to buy an exhaust to match. Thats just my .02, unless you dont mind buying and selling parts or not making as much power... If thats the case go with the HKS it is a beautiful piece.

I'm leaning towards the suspention. And Yes David the helmet would be nice!

I would go for the suspension setup because you will feel alot of difference in handling from what you listed. I never really noticed much gains from exhaust alone...may I ask what is the helmet for? Autox?

Personally, I would go with exhaust. However, as someone else alluded to suspension may be better suited for you if you plan on a turbo down the road.

I starting to go with what I first looked at... The Hotchkis TVS kit. Anyone have any suggestions?

I vote for hotchkis and tie bars because, no matter how fast your car is, if you cant stick it in the corner, or control it, it's not worth it, IMO.

My 2nd vote would be the HKS exahust... but man are they loud with test pipes... (little too loud for me).

I would go with the Suspension too. If the suspension and helmet will run you $700 and the HKS is $1300 then I would definately go with the suspension, then add a JWT pop charger ($100) and a plenum spacer($250?). This will let you get almost the same hp gains that you would with either exhaust and get your car to handle better for only $1050. BTW you will notice the TVS suspension more than you will either or the exhaust systems.

I gave you the suspension and helmet. An exhaust shouldn't fall too far down your wish list, but getting the helmet now will let you get out there and have some legal fun with the car.
