I had the Injen intake for my Scion TC. Before I got the intake, my best 1/8th mile time was a 10.26. After only the intake was installed, I ran a 9.95 in the 1/8th. It is suppose to add 12hp to the Scion TC. I was just wondering how accurate these numbers are.
Yeah a nice hint with those websites is to pay attention to the "UP TO" such and such horsepower(s). In this case up to 8-17. Anything can be declared to give "up to" a certain amount IMO. Kinda wack advertising.
i have this intake istalled, its just at a short ram didnt take it all the way out for the cold air intake, more torque with short ram....more hp with cold air, havent dynoed with the intake but i would bet im not getting more than 10 out of it and thats optimistic.

No, it's not you. Marketing claims are notoriously high. Considering what's been posted here over the last couple of years, I'd bet you'd be lucky to get +5hp.
One interesting thing that I did notice in their dyno results is that the "before" run is number .001 for that vehicle. You see that a lot on these comparisons. A few month back I ran my Z on a dyno and I finally realized why they compare against the first run - it's always to lowest power run of the day. My 2nd and 3rd pulls, like everybody else that day, were a lot higher than the first.
Rather than doing three runs and using that as the baseline before making the mods, it looks a whole lot better when you use the weakest run to compare against. And you can bet that the best run they compare against is the one that stands out above all the others, even if it's a fluke.

I have done a lot of research on intakes for the 350z, and many people say that the JWT is the best for the money. I see that it adds 6.5 whp. I am willing to pay $350 for an intake, if it gives me more horsepower and torque. I am going with an N/A setup, and I am trying to get the most HP and TQ possible.

How much tuning did hey do to get it there.
Reliable HP claims come from a baseline after 3 pulls, and then another 3 pulls with the mod after an ECU reset. This is usually all done within a 2hr period for an intake. If there is more time an runs done, they have been tuning and fudging things. It doesn't take that long to run a car 3 times, swap out the intake and run it again.

don't forget to mention the 1.5:1 horsepower is worth the extra money for the stillen intake, because A) your getting colder air in the intake and B) the cost for the extra horse power is not outrageous.
