me not a knockoff wouldn't even be a moral thing.. I'll be afraid it'll blow up on me. I've read this huge article about knockoff and their testing. majority of the knockoff lasted only a few months... these included, oilpans, intakes (bunch of crap got in the engine, amongst many others. I gladly fork out tons of $$ for authentic, for a peace of mind.

Crazy direct ripoff of design. I would hope some HKS lawyers go get this guy.

To the people who said HKS is just a name, you're dead wrong. HKS uses quality parts, not bs materials.
It's like saying nismo is just a name, and megan racing headers are the same as nismos. Or even megan racing tp's are the same as the rest of them. Wrong again, it might look similar but I bet a million dollars the hks canisters are made of better material especially inside, and their resonators and welds are top notch.
This is not a front lip we're talking about where everybody makes a replica, this is a cat-back exhaust system, and comparing a no named brand to HKS is simply outrageous. Just like one of the members said, "if you can't afford HKS, then don't buy HKS". Plain and simple.

Most people here that don't like knock-offs are either vendors or their minions. I have no issue with copies, and there is nothing illegal or even unethical, unless there are patent issues involved. It's called the American way. IMO, it fosters competition and lower prices. Two thing to remember, you get what you pay for, in most cases, and if it looks too good to be true, it usually is.

I actually have real and knock off parts on my car. Yes some knock offs are okay but when it comes to exhaust/engine components, you do not want a cheap part. Engine and exhaust components work under extreme conditions and temperatures.
I had megan racing tp's and 2 days into it the resonators rattled. So therefore I have proof that knock offs suck when it comes to quality and workmanship in exhaust parts.
The HKS mufflers aren't cheap, please go on their site and check the prices for the universal mufflers. Compare those to APC junk and tell me they are the same, .

^ No arguments here. Knock-offs are usually inferior. I stay away from them myself. For non-critical applications, and where the investment is small, I might give it a try though. I was alluding to copies by reputable companies that have the resources to do it right, and where reputation is at stake.

Isn't it worth it to just buy the HKS when you save up another 700? lol
