Default Do High Flow Cats throw CEL ?

I searched but nothing really said (and I'm lazy to read through 100+ threads), do HFC's throw CEL ? I'm thinking "no" but just want a definite answer. I have a Rev-up BTW.

Major manufactures, such as Kinetix, test high-flow catalytic converters to ensure that they pass emissions tests. Because of differences from one state to another, I know of no manufacture that guarantees HFC.

Searched my ****. Lazy and a liar...

As stated above, the likelihood is high you will not get a CEL. The OEMs are two stage CATs, but only have one stage upstream of the O2 sensor, and they don't throw CELs. I have seen dozens of threads on HFCs, and don't ever remember anyone say they lit up a CEL. Go for it!

I don't think it should throw a CEL unless there is a leak.

I stand corrected: You did say you searched but were too lazy to read the results.

I have Ultimate Racing HFC's and no CEL on my 2006 Z
Don't get lazy in your brand selection as there are many reports of failures, cracking and fitment issues across 3-4 of the popular brands.

You don't want kinetix anything. Look for another manufacturer that puts out quality products.

You will not throw a CEL with HFC if they are working properly. Even if you ran test pipes, it is an easy 'fix' to get rid of an oxygen sensor related code

Yea I was thinking about Labree Res Tp's but I read (yes I read!) thru many threads that CEL's is a 99% probability...

As stated earlier, those Ultimate Racing HFCs will not throw the CEL. I know of another Z owner that has those installed on an earlier year Z (either a '03 or '04) and he has no problems what so ever with them. He highly recommends them.
