Default Fast Intentions "Intimidator" Install

Thought everyone might want to share in my joy. I purchased the system online and it was laying on my floor a little over a week later. Not a bad shipping time considering it went from coast to coast. It sounds great and the install was very easy.

The install went great. The only thing that was not perfect was 1. Missing heat shield for the gas line (should have been shipped with the new exhaust) and 2. the tips do not extend out past the bumper the same distance. (you can see the difference in one of me original posted pics) I have emailed and tried calling the shop. No reply from either attempt. I'll give them until after the holidays before any disappoint really sets in.

Congrats on the install. Looks good

Just need to get the car to the dyno and see how well it does over stock.

The exhaust does look sharp. It is my favorite exhaust out right now.

Not sure what can be done about the tips not sitting at the same distance from the bumper. Seems as if one of the bends might be off on that side of the exhaust pipeing.

Later

How far of a difference are we talking? I was at the shop on saturday with my 04' to get mine installed and the right pipe came out about .250/.500 inch further out than the left pipe. They added an extra gasket to the left side to bring it out and it looks fine cosmetically now. There is a very slight difference now, but it takes some effort to see. This exhaust was designed off an 06 and i'm starting to think that maybe there's some light fitment issues on 03/04's.

About 1/2 inch maybe a little more. You can notice the difference because the bottom of the bumper gives you something to line up to visually. Maybe I'll try an extra gasket or two.

extreme4377,
You were right! I just called Tony and he is going to fix me up with the needed parts.

Just to be clear with everyone, this is not a fix I am proud to promote. For some reason I am finding out now that the 2003 and some 04's are different.(Just slightly) enough to cause this. Not all have had this issue though. If it persists I might have to make some part of the exhaust ajustable in the back to allow the tips to move in and out...Tony

My extra gaskets and heat shield showed up today and now all I need is a warm/dry day to crawl back under the car. I will post pics of the final adjustments when they are done.

Default PICs of Tips Adjustmented

Here are the pics of the adjustments I made to the exhaust tips. I added 2 gaskets to the pipe on the drivers side...helped a little. Since I was still able to notice the difference, I decided to move both tips out further past the bumper. I did this by loosening the strap style clamps, on the exhaust system, where it connects to the cats. (Now I can see the logos that are stamped on the top of the tips too.)
