might sound stupid,? on test pipes
i am about to buy to aps 3" exhaust and was wondering if aps test pipes would make a difference at all, in sound, performence. do test pipes replace a part of the exahust itself or would my aps exahust end and then test pipes come on. a newbie looking for a lil info, jsut getting introduced to the performence game and not sure on many things.thanks!
Yes for sure the test pipes will effect the sound. From what I understand the APS system is loud as is so the test pipes would make it louder and raspier, as well as the smell that you will get from your car. There will be a greater performance gain then stock or high flow cats though.
Study Exhaust 101. Check photos of the underside of the 350Z, and become familiar with components such as exhaust manifold, catalytic converter and cat back exhaust.
I am not certain if the APS is a cat back system.

hey bro, your not planning on buying 3 in exhaust for a naturally aspirated car are you?
you gonna lose a lot of torque and gain very little in power near as I can tell.
3 inchers are just to big for our motor unless you turbo'd

gaining very little would be best case. The 3" APS is not for the N/A cars. it will be so insanely loud, you won't even be able to hear your self think. You're N/A setup doesn't even need one side of that exhaust's flow. The 3" APS is even overkill for most twin turbo guys, let alone a N/A setup..
For your N/A setup, look at a greddy evo2, nismo, or HKS. Even the 2.5" APS isn't optimal for your car
