Here's my new exhaust set-up:
-Strup headers
-AAM 2.5" test pipes
-AAM Y-pipe
-AAM 3" single TI exhaust
**the exhaust can be found at Altered-Atmosphere-Motorsports
I had already installed the headers and Test pipes, so all I had to do was the Y-pipe and single 3". It arrived in good condition (a few very small dents, but nothing major), I checked the welds and it all looked good.
Install:
Install was very easy and straight forward - the y-pipe was labeled so that I knew the correct layout (I tried it the other way just to double check, and it can only fit 1 way). The hardest part was removing the OE exhaust...I hate having dust and small rocks fall onto my face!
When connecting the Y-pipe to TP's, it took a little bit of extra time to get the flanges and gaskest to match up...I ended up using a tool that holds wood together to line everything up so that I could torque it down (see pic below)...I wanted to make sure that the connections were as smooth as possible to reduce any extra resistances.
Fitment:
Fitment was good - no need to adjust anything. I raised the middle bumper section so that it didn't look wierd having a single muffler w/ 2 holes in the bumper (I used the 2 existing screws and drilled to small pilot holes into the aluminum bumper...much eaiser than I thought it would be).
Sound: (aka music)
On start up, it's loud! Cruising around 2.5-3K rpms it's quiter, but it's still loud. On WOT it's crazy - I love the sound, but am a bit worried about the neighbors and po-po...I'll be getting AAM's silencer to install it once I get back from vacation - I hope it quites it down a good amount. Any signs of rasp on acceleration or decel are gone
.
Power:
It 'feels' faster, but I never know if it's real or if I'm just telling myself that it's faster...it'll get dyno-ed in the next month when I get the AAM reflash - so I'll get a total improvement from near stock to now.
Here's some pics:

all the parts, AAM includes the new gaskest and needed bolts

here's a shot of how I lined the y-pipe and TP flanges

pic showing good fitment w/ Hotckis sway bar

2nd pics showing same thing, but looking forward

another pic w/ muffler in veiw:

bumper w/ middle section raised up
I know, it needs a wash, but the weather had been terrible, and I've been having too much OT...I'll give her a good bath next year)

the inside of the bumper (looking from the diff to the rear)...the hinges below are my garage door

2nd pic closer shot

Here's a quick vid w/ windows down (2nd-3rd gear pull to 70MPH), and then a short WOT in 2nd gear w/ windows down. the video really doesn't capture how loud it it, but gets the sound about right:

hope that helps for anyone else that's interested in this exhuast.

The only thing I could think of that would make him loose power from this is if it caused the ECU to run too lean or rich...maybe he should get a reflash.

it's not a full TI exhaust, but it's still really light (no where near 80lbs). I could pick up the whole exhaust with 1 hand w/out a problem - made it much easier to install.

Thats me... It feels faster on the top end, but It feels like I lost alot of torque... Definitely sounds sweet though.. Especially from 5000 ~>7000 RPM

I'm going to raise the car about 1/2 to 1" to help with clearance...my wife had been complaining before that it's too low, and it'll help with getting the alignment closer to spec w/out aftermarket A-arms (haven't decided if I'll get these or not)
