Question Intake valve section: able to remove it?

I'm looking into getting my plenum polished/chromed. I got a good offer from a company which recommended me to get the aluminium connecting part (between plenum/intake tube) done as well.

Has anyone ever removed this/got it polished? Is it doable with normal tools or do I need some fancy tools?

Tnx...
