Default Just installed APS test pipes 2.5" on stock exhaust

I debated doing running this set-up for about 2 or 3 weeks. I am very pleased with the results. It is much more quiet then I had anticipated. I am very happy with my decision. And they are non-resonated and I don't hear too much rasp.

The APS TP go for about $200. I ordered mine from GRD (Link in sig). Do a search (APS Nismo) for how they sound with the Nismo exhaust. A lot of members don't like it. Of course a lot of Nismo exhaust owners buy it for the slight increase in note and power. They aren't looking for a loud exhaust.

Its TOO loud for them. As I mentioned most Nismo exhaust owners buy it for just a bit more note. Not like the HKS where it loud.

nismo isnt a quiet exhaust in terms of depth. Its a deeper exhaust which means opening the exhaust up will make it real loud :-D
I had APS tp on the APS exhaust as well as on stock exhaust. On the APS exhaust, it just rasped a lot.. On stock it sounded like stock to me. However, on a single exhaust like nismo, it wont sound like crap. Itll be loud and niec.

If the nismo is used with the stock cats, then yes the HKS is louder. But when u add tp's or hfc's to the Nismo, then its louder than the HKS with tp's or hfc's. Especially tp's... those make the Nismo sound extremely mean.

+100. The Nismo has only one small resonator with 3in piping where as the HKS has 2 moderatley sized resonators with 2.25 inch piping. I have the aps 2.5 tp's with the Nismo and it humbles many hks owners here in so cal.

Race car mean. Not too loud like the top speed exhaust but exotic enough to turn the porshe drivers head.

you'll feel even more gain TP as your ECU adjusts.

I LOVE THAT. Should be no difference between Intense Resonated test pipes and APS 2.5 inch..?? trying to decide...leaning toward intense resonated so there will be less rasp. but dont want megan replicas either...

Well I have non res. aps and the rasp is so little at 2k rpms. At 2500 is all gone. Dont know how raspy intense power resnoated test pipes are.

Oh yes u will lose a little low end tq but make up for it in top end hp. But u should tune after test pipes to maximize the gains because it will lean u out.

^^ if u lose the low end torque then tune..youll make up for the low end torque loss right>??
Just took a ride on a honda CBR motorcycle, supposedly test pipes smell like a motorcycle, since motorcycles have no cats..i dont mind the smell...
