Default Is exhaust a legal upgrade?

i have the Injen SES and i just want to know if a cop can give me a ticket for my exhaust? BTW i live in SoCal.

if there is no carb sticker then yes
but the cop has to be one son of a d1ck to do so

You can also exceed the sound level output in some communities too. I haven't heard of that ticket in a long long time ... I've got one "loud or excessive exhaust" in my personal collection of tickets.

No exhaust system is illegal unless it exceeds the maximum decibel level by the state. IIRC CA is 105db. Other than that, you can put on whatever exhaust you want. It only becomes illegal when you remove cats.

BTW is a CAI Legal aswell?

You'll have to check on CAI legality. I know the popcharger is but I know the Nismo one isn't. It just depends.
