Default Exhaust sound after installing Cold Air Intake

for those who have cold air intakes (either regular or short ram) can you let me how your stock exhaust sounded after the CAI was installed?

here are my questions:

1) Was there a significant differnce in sound or was it just barely noticeable?
2) Was the exhaust louder and more aggressive sounding?

Thanks

The only change in sound is the hissing of the intake. ( sounds kinda cool)

I think the MD Iso Thermal spacer made more of a difference (in sound) than the intake.

My exhaust sounded the same, however there is a very noticeable change in overall sound. You end up with a different sound from the engine bay combined with the sound of the exhaust. I can only describe it as a throatier growl.

Popcharger sound just a little different and idle or slightly above. If you stomp on it, it's sweet. After 3500 it is a shockly nice tone. They say with NISMO catback it's even sweeter at idle and freakin' awesome at full thottle.

That's one of my next moves .... Be happy shift fast !!!

Look pretty nice too under the hood:

???? Don't get this post unless there is a bunch of difference between the non rev-up and the rev-up motors.
I mean he has the Pop and NISMO Parts. ????

You are now legally obligated to post vid/sound clips of your new setup, you know that right? (it's in the contract, section Z49716: Thou shall post footage/sound clips of thy Z immediately following any/all discussion/s of modification.)

Yes I am contractually obligated to follow the rules. I signed the contract not from being on this site but the day I drove the Z off from the dealership lot!

Back when I changed to a Nismo CAI I got this same result... no noticeable change on exhaust but a different sound overall. I do not have a great ear for these changes, but all my friends told me that the sound was overall more agressive.

Now with an HKS Hi-Power Ti, the car sounds waaaaay different... but that was the change of exhaust.

the type of intake does not affect the sound that comes from the exhaust. the exhaust note is the sound that comes from the engine itself and is affected by size, type of resonator, straight pipe or high flow cats, etc.

Definitely more aggressive. I checked with a aggressive meter. It read 7.5 on the bad *** scale.

+1 (I have an AEM CAI and all I noticed is the extra sucking sound and hiss of the intake when I rev the engine, or at WOT)

When i installed a popcharger, it drowned out the Greddy evo2. But then again the evo2 was pretty quiet.
