Hydrolock?? Not unless you're trying to drive through a 3' deep puddle. The intake is at the oem location for this kit.

does anybody know if you can purchase the stillen heat shield seperately?
do not feel like buying a whole kit just for the shield, i have popcharger
now and am considering adding the stillen heat shield and carbon fiber
air duct in bumper-just installed carbon fiber intake tube 2 weeks ago.

Can you put the heatshield of the Stillen over the Pop?

yes - it's probably the best setup.

Can you buy the heatshield separately? Would I have to buy the Stillen kit and a Pop charger or could I just buy the replacement pop filter?

Can you buy the Stillen Heat shield separately? Will the enclose Stillen box really muffle the sound of the Pop?

How much noise does a complete Stillen set up make? Better/louder than a Popcharger?

It's alot quieter than the popcharger.

And yes the popcharger filter is interchangeable with the stillen. I had a popcharger and didn't like it, eventually bought a Stillen intake. When it came time to clean the filter, I just swapped it out for a popcharger.

I always thought it was better to have a spare filter, never liked having my car off the road because I was waiting for the airfilter to dry.

I'm wondering if there is a way to pop off the end cap of the Stillen, instant pop no?

I've had the Stillen for a couple years now. Guess I will check it out this weekend.

I wouldn't bother, it's all glued together. Not worth the risk of something coming unglued and getting sucked into the motor.

here's some more pics from my friend's writeup (helldorado).
