Default Injen CAI install questions

I had a couple of questions for tose of you who have done DIY install of the Injen CAI. I installed one on my Celica and it was pretty straight forward. In regards to the Z:

1) Do you need jack stands? I was able to take the nose piece off my Celica w/o jack stands but I thought I read somewhere that you need to lift the Z to remove the nose.

2) Is any cutting required (plastic)?

My dilema is that I live in an apartment with undergorund parking. The light sucks and "technically" I'm not "supposed" to be doing repair/work on my car in the parking. Not to mention that my father in law has a nice garage and better tools- however I have to dirve 1:15 hours to get there.

I installed mine without removing the bumper, however I had a lift. You may want to jack up the front to drop the lower pan. Their is no cutting but you have to remove the black splash guard behind the grill which can be a pain if you don't remove the bumper.. Overall its not too bad.....
