Default Injen Dyno Day

Injen made a open dyno session for the press where they test all of Injen products for the Z.

Each part was tested alone to see their individual gains

Stock output (highest run) = 234.2 hp and 232.0 lb/ft
Parts tested:

CAI intake = 240.4 hp and 239.7 lb/ft
SES1985RS exhaust system = 249.7 hp and 246.8 lb/ft
tag teamed parts = 255.9 hp and 251.9 lb/ft

seems funny when injen dynos their intake they get twice as much hp gains as when other people dynoed their car with the injen cai installed.

I don't know but the dyno tests were performed in front of the press and the charts are there.

Had anyone with an Injen CAI dynoed his car to see the actual gains?

well remember most people don't dyno back to back. They would dyno days later, enough time for the ECU to compensate for increases air flow

Also rmemeber Injen is one of the only ones doing a dual exhaust vs. a 2 into 1 system.

We have never dynoed our car......might do it this weekend at the track but....
We got real world speed at Daytona Intl using the Injen CAI.
There was an increase of speed between the OEM setup and the Injen set up.
We also noticed a differnece moving the filter in differnet locations. We are not allowed to run the filter in direct air so we have to tuck the filter up more behind the bumper.

Quoted by someone who races the Z!

OK,

so why are people still hating on the Injen CAI then?

Isn't real world speed what matters and not some machine with numerous variables that has your car tied down?

Anyway it's a combo of mods that make the HP add up.

If someone just wants to do the CAI and that's it save your money, Eibach Pro Kit for the same price and you get better handling.

I didn't see a nice torque gain until I did my exhaust in conjuction with my intake. Grounding kit probably helped even smooth things out too. Nitrous didn't hurt. Combo!

The true power robbers are the cats!

Damn them cats to hell
