Default For those that have installed the 5/16 spacer...

I'm looking to buy the 5/16" iso thermal spacer this weekend. My question is that from what i have read the gains are about the same between the 5/16 and 1/2" spacers. So i'm gonna stick with the 5/16". My question is....is there any noticiable more engine "growl" with the 5/16"? Motordyne's site mentions the engine growl on the 1/2" but not the 5/16". Silly question i know cause i'm getting it reguardless, but just curious! Thanks!

honestly i have a rev up motor w/ just the 5/16" spacer and i don't really hear a growl. but it does feel better and gas mileage improved slightly.

I couldn't say whether the sound is different. The 1/2" should net a bit more power than the 5/16". The 5/16" is the only one of the two that will allow you to use your stock strut bar.

I installed the MD 5/16" plenum spacer at the same time with the JWT Popcharger and I definitely feel the Z pulls much harder. There is definitely a distinct growl after installing these two mods.

The sound is mostly from the popcharger. Mine was so loud it drowned out my exhaust.

I actually took it off after a month. Probably getting a Stillen intake soon.

I have the pop charger and for me, when I added the 5/16" spacer it gave me a throatier engine growl towards the end of each shift. The duration of the extra growl isn't that long, but you can definitely hear it. It sounds pretty mean to me

I have the MD 5/16 and Turboxs exhaust. After the spacer, the exhaust note seemed more pronounced, but that's the only noticeable difference to me.
