Default Anyone regret tossing their stock exhaust??

Next week i'm finally getting my Nismo cat back!! (second mod) I'm having the dealer put it on so i can have 3/36 warranty with it. I live in a two bedroom condo and really don't have any room to store my old exhaust. I really don't think i'll ever wanna use it again, and theres not much of a market out there for used stock exhaust. And the left tip on my stocker is all hazzy and orange peely anyways, so i don't think anyone would want it. (like that when i got her) Am i stupid to just toss it?

I got the NISMO exhaust & some high flow cats. I love the incresed HP & like the sound when I am in the mood to really get on it BUT hate it most of the time since it is just too loud.

I think if I was going to sell the car, I would certainly sell the parts and turn it back to stock. I would get stock parts if I was you....

If he had the room to keep it I would say no problem. But since he doesnt. it makes sense for him to junk it. He would cluttered in his home for what? 40-50 bucks?

Don't throw it away. Just put it in the classifieds on here for the price of shipping.

Actually that's a pretty good idea. Too late now though i had the dealer put it on yesterday. And had them toss the old one. And even if i wanted to keep it, i'm not about to put my old exhaust in the car all dirty and all.

Try to sell first. If not recycle. On my cats I got 90 bucks for them.

The stock exhaust is next to impossible to give away for free. Most likely you will have to pay someone to pick it up, and haul it to the dump.

I tossed mine when I was getting the Injen.
I needed it back when I got sick of the Injen. Shops wanted 200-400 for stock one (Performance Motorsports asked me for 400 ).

Thanks to Julian at MRC, he charged me a case of beer and usual install fees to convert back to stock with one of the exhausts he had in his shop.

In other words, if you have space for it keep it. Much better then needing it and not having it...

Stock parts will always be desired due to people like me putting their cars back to stock to sell after having been heavily modified.

Just my opinion, but if you simply have a Nismo exhuast, I don't think many people would be concerned since it's a Nissan product. I'm sure if you have other mods on the car, going back to stock is okay. Add to it that it really isn't that much louder unless you add a bunch of other stuff like high flow cats.

Occasionally you can get lucky and sell your stock exhaust, but many people end up tossing them since there is a general lack of interest. It's really timing.
