JWT Popcharger cleaning. Better to just rebuy?
In your guys' own opinion, do you think it's worth it to clean the popcharger or just buy another filter for $70?
If you think it's better to clean, can you give me an example of the best method? Thanks in advance.
Bonus question: Will a 5/16 spacer effect the way a stillen s/c sits, or the difficulty of it's install?

I normally clean mine at night and let sit overnight then re-install the next morning.
Not worth buying another unless you don't have time to let it sit and dry out.
1. Take off Filter, very easy to do!
2. Clean with K&N cleaner, I use an old toothbrush.
3. Rinse with warm water making sure all the little buggies are out. I use a dental tool or a toothpick can work.
4. Let dry for about an hour.
5. Oil, but do not over oil, let sit overnight on a towel or newspaper.
6. Re-install

i just used 409 cleaner and the blue recharge oil for the pocharger. works great. but i also have a spare filer laying around ready to install, that way when i take one off to clean, there is zero downtime waiting for the filter to dry.

How often do you guys clean and re-oil your popchargers?
I installed mine last month.
I clicked on the link above and it says it can need to be serviced in one day or up to 50,000 miles.

In my opinion it's worth buying a second filter just so you don't have any downtime, like someone else mentioned. But definitely clean it, don't throw it out. K&N recharge kit is less than $15 and you can get probably 2 or 3 cleanings out of it.
