Not necessarily, the dealership i go to seems pretty cool. I think it all depends on the service guy, I dealt with a real d!ck at GREG VAN and now i go out of my way to avoid the place.

In all honesty though, I think the TPs suck. My car absolutely stinks with them on for what, some meager gains, not worth it. That's my opinion.
On top of that I freak out everytime i see a cop.

I'm looking for some HF cats if anyone has some.

It's your car not their's. The most they can do is red flag you or something. Call them up and ask them what they think, what can they do?

a dealer should not install test pipes, it is against federal law to tamper with a working catalyst.......now your independent or you in the driveway with some jackstands, thats a little different. technically you are breaking the law, but who is going to tell on you????yourself? if you are just going in for an oil change, it should be no biggie, hell i had the fuel/evap hose recall done with tp's and my stillen true dual on the car. they replaced the header gaskets to reinstall the tp's.

alot has to do with where you are located too, if you are in an area that requires emmisions, they may not like it, but if you are out in the middle of bumble fukc it probably wont matter. i would highly doubt any legitimate dealer will install tp's but i could be wrong.......

what do you mean call them and ask that? Why would it be ok if they're against it??

Call them up and ask them what their stance is on cat delete pipes. They'll probably tell you it's against the law but what actions would they take. It may seem naive but would it really hurt?

If buddy totally freaks out on the phone then it's probably a good indication that it's not the place to take your car to once you have them installed.

Really depends on the Dealers attitude. We are very mod friendly so have no issues with what is done to our customers cars.

we won't install test pipes at the dealership b/c it's illegal to take out the cats. we'd lose our license and get fined. but you can bring it in for service

How about just a regular after market exhaust? I know they technically can't say anything, but I have the gold warrenty and my car isn't even a year old yet. I don't want them to void anything.
