Default exhaust leak need help

I have the borla kit and i had trouble when i put it on with getting the h pipe to fit right. I took it all off and put it back on going by exactly what the instructions said and still had trouble with the h pipe i had to pull them together while my friend tightened the bolts... Still leaking anyone have trouble with this, am i gonna have to just weld it hope not need help....
Even though leaking it sounds great i just recently put the aem cai on and it sounds even better.

There's no real trick to it. Install it correctly and it won't leak. Install it slightly off, and it will leak.

A few taps with a rubber mallet may help. Or just take it to an exhaust shop and tell them you're not leaving until the leaks are gone.

Try using a rubber mallet to pound exhaust in place. Like wired said, if installed correctly it shouldn't leak at all. No need for welds like many people say. Another thing you could do is use a plier and bend the connecting parts outwards. It should fit better that way and just pound it in. Good luck.

I had the same problem. I think it's a tolerance stack-up issue. I solved my problem by loosening the bolts on the cats and forcing them inboard, then retightening the bolts. Then I had someone hold the borla h-pipe sections as close together as possible while I tightened the H-pipe clamp. It worked, no problems -- I drove the car for 5 months before putting it away for the winter.

i fixed it today it was just a tolerance issue i got a rachet strap and tightened it up and bolted it so i guess that will work for now.
