I am looking for some more HP and wondering if throwing some headers on there will make a difference... I am at 382Hp on juice and want to hit atleast 400's... I have everything in my sig (for reference)... I was thinking of going with the strups but dont know... Any help would be appreciated

Try the strups.... I hear partshippers has good deals on em... I also read back in the day alphawerks had the most gains on the VQ.. Good luck!

I forgot to post this...... As far as gains.. Not worth it IMHO..

I'm of firm belief that they aren't worth the time or effort.

NA - not worth it....with spray...it helps a bit more than you'd think. But I agree, its not really worth it for the most part. Make sure you get stainless. Mild steel will crack after spraying alot over time. But honestly, you could put that money elsewhere and get more out of it. I run DC sports...didn't notice sh*t. Even tuned with the UTEC at the same time. Numbers showed up, but the butt dyno didn't feel a thing.

PS - I hit 366whp/440wtq on spray....you can do it too! lol. (dynapack - reads low)

I have strup headers - I found the install to be much easier than how many ppl described it...it still takes the better part of the day to do the complete install (prep, install, clean-up). And if you're running N2O, headers will have a great impact! I got Jet-Hot's 2000 ceramic coating...it's a great thermal barrier and has kept my engine bay temps low. (+1 on going with a stainless steel header...SS is the perfered steel for high temps)

headers might not be worth it IF you're NA and not going to adjust AF (Re-Flash, piggy back ECU...)... But since you're runnig nitrous, it will make power!

then its not worth it. You won't see power like that unless you get the crawford headers and even that's a stretch. Nitrous, like I and many others have said, is where the benefits of the headers are seen.
