Default Just got back from the dyno -- 273WHP & 249 TQ

Hello all,

I just got back from the shop a little while ago . I have 273whp and 249 TQ on a Mustang dyno . Mods are : Pop charger , Motordyne 5/16 ISO spacer , Mrev2 , Kinetix resonated TP's , X02 exhaust .

My Z is a 06 revup . In the future im planning on getting a UTEC and a lightweight flywheel and a better clutch . God only knows i could possibly hit 280+whp with the UTEC and a good tune .

My base run in which i don;t have a print our for was 245 whp and 221 tq .
This was with only a greddy muffler . Which i have heard some people say it makes the car loose HP .

The 2nd run ( bottom set of lines on the first dyno sheet ) is with a pop charger and alphawerks headers . 247whp & 226 tq .

The 3rd run ( the top set of lines in the first dyno sheet ) is with the addition of Mrev2 , 5/16 iso spacer . kitnetix resonated TP's . 253whp & 242 tq .

The 4th run ( the top line on the 2nd dyno sheet ) is witht he additon of the X02 (HKS replica ) exhaust , and a reset on the ECU . 273whp & 249 tq . I have never rest the ECU before i got the exhaust .

The bottom set of lines on the 2nd dyno sheet is my 3rd run . to show the difference between the 2 runs .

All of the work was done at the same shop and the same Mustang dyno ( Thank you Japtrix ) .

Wow nice to see that you don't have to spend $1500 to gain some real horse power. I see a replica can offer the same results of some name brand out their.

Excellent write up 06SilverstoneZ.

Your post should be in a text book as an example of how people should write up their dyno experiences for forum publication. Short, detailed with data and direct.

And great dyno gains too.

The MREV set up really thickened up the midrange while the catback kicked in the full potential of your headers and test pipes.

The combination of the intake and exhaust not only increased the peaks of HP and TQ, it really increased the average power (across the whole band) considerably. That will be easily felt while driving.

And I bet it sounds much better and louder than stock too.

i had similar numbers at japtrix the other day as well...

i made 266 whp and 250 tq with the non-revup motor

i'm going to post up the sheet and list of mods as soon as a get a chance to scan it. but good numbers over all.
you should really consider getting an EMS to get the most out of those mods.

Nice numbers, very promising to see this kind of response out of the basic bolt ons.
